Nils Elias Kristofer von DARDEL was a Swedish painter and printmaker who was active in the early 20th century. He was born in Stockholm in 1888 and studied at the Royal Academy of Fine Arts in Stockholm and later in Paris. From 1940 he lived in New York. He was known for his portraits, landscapes, and still lifes, and was part of the group of artists known as "The Four", which also included Isaac Grünewald, Sigrid Hjertén, and Otto G. Carlsund. His paintings often show bizarre and macabre motifs, but also landscapes, exotic folk types, and portraits, often of people from society.

He died in 1943 in Stockholm.
