Edward PENFIELD

Edward PENFIELD (1866 - 1925) was an American illustrator during an era known as the "Golden Age of American Illustration" and is considered the father of the American poster. His style was influenced by the impressionist approach to making Parisian posters. Penfield's work has been included in almost every major book on American illustration or poster history.
