Boris GRIGORIEV was a Russian painter, graphic artist, and set designer of the early 20th century. He was a representative of Russian modernity.
Boris Grigoriev was born in 1886 in the city of Tambov, Russia, and studied at the Imperial Academy of Arts in St. Petersburg. Grigoriev was a member of the World of Art movement, which sought to revive traditional Russian art and culture. He was known for his vivid and colorful paintings, often depicting the everyday life of the Russian people. In addition to his work as a painter, Grigoriev also designed sets for the theater and illustrated books. He died in 1939 in Leningrad (now St. Petersburg). Now it's regaining popularity after being almost forgotten for decades.
