Alberto MAGNELLI


Alberto Magnelli was an Italian painter and printmaker associated with the Surrealist and Futurist movements. He was born in Florence, Italy in 1888 and studied at the Accademia di Belle Arti in Florence. He began his career as a Futurist painter, but later became associated with the Surrealist movement in Paris, where he settled in the 1920s. He is known for his abstract paintings and prints, which often feature geometric shapes and bright colors.

Magnelli was a member of the Abstraction-Création group in Paris and was also associated with the School of Paris. He died in 1971 in Paris.
